Position Description
Serve as a liaison between insurance and health care providers to ensure the timely coordination, and accurate processing, of patient referrals required for medical specialty visits.

Major/Essential Functions
Performs duties to assist in the referral process within the TTP Clinics, including tracking referrals, coordinating with referring providers and specialists, ensuring timely appointments, managing communication with patients, and analyzing data to identify areas for improvement, all while maintaing compliance with regulations and optimizing patient flow through the TTP Clinic system.

Required Qualifications
Associate’s degree plus one (1) year of experience directly related to the processing of patient referrals;
OR
High school diploma or GED plus three (3) years of experience working as a Certified Medical Assistant;
OR
High school diploma or GED plus five (5) years of experience directly related to patient registration, patient scheduling, patient billing/collections, the processing of prior authorizations, and/or the processing of patient referrals.

Pay Statement
Compensation is commensurate upon the qualifications of the individual selected and budgetary guidelines of the hiring department, as well as the institutional pay plan. For additional information, please reference the institutional pay plan website.
